U17 Contenders Dominate Day 6 Afternoon Card at Asian Boxing Championships

Afternoon session of the Asian Boxing U17 Championships delivered thrilling action at the Sports Palace in Amman, with 21 electrifying bouts showcasing the grit and skill of Asia’s brightest young boxing talents.

The session opened with 12 intense boys’ contests, spanning the 44-46kg to 50kg categories. Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia all had strong showings, while standout performances included:

Rustem Saparkhan (KAZ) winning by RSC in Round 3 over Jordan’s Osamah Abualsayed in the 48kg division.

Ambekar Meetei Lairenlakpam (IND) delivering a clean 5:0 win against Ukraine’s Tymofii Oleksiienko.

Khalif Rassul (KAZ) edging out Kyrgyzstan’s Nursultan Duishonaliev with a 4:1 decision.

Serhii Artemenko (UKR) impressing with a dominant 5:0 win over Japan’s Kira Hasegawa.

Following the boys’ bouts, nine girls’ matchups lit up the ring, with athletes competing across the 44-46kg to 50kg categories. Notable results included:

Khushi Chand (IND) earning an RSC victory in Round 2 against Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Hong Yen.

Yui Hatakeyama (JPN) claiming a narrow 3:2 win over Ukraine’s Mariia Rafalska in the 48kg class.

Shodiyona Melikuzieva (UZB) defeating Kazakhstan’s Gulbanu Bekmurat in a tightly judged 4:1 bout.

Jiya Jiya (IND) dominating Vietnam’s Dinh Thi Ru Na with a clean 5:0 sweep.
