Asian Boxers Reach 8 Finals at World Boxing Cup

Day Four of the World Boxing Cup – Felix Stamm in Warsaw wrapped up the semi-finals, with the final bouts set for May 16 and a total of 10 Asian boxers will battle it out in eight final matches out of the 20 weight categories.

It was a strong showing for Uzbekistan, who matched Italy with four semi-final wins, securing spots in the finals across both men’s and women’s divisions:

Mirzakhalilov Mirazizbek (55kg)

Muydinkhujaev Asadkhuja (65kg)

Ummataliev Javokhir (80kg)

Mamajonova Khumorabonu (W57kg)

Erkinboev Fazliddin (75kg)

Isroilov Akmaljon (85kg)

Zokirov Jakhongir (90kg+)

Mongolia also reached three finals:

Aldarkhishig Battulga (50kg)

Kharkhuu Bilguunsaikhan (55kg)

Munguntsetseg Enkhjargal (W54kg)

In total, Asian boxers from Uzbekistan and Mongolia will contest eight finals out of the final 20 bouts, a strong showing that highlights their growing global presence. Poland led the day with five victories and will feature heavily in the finals, including an all-Polish men’s 90kg showdown.
