The Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament is set to kicked off following the successful conclusion of the official draw and technical meeting held in Bangkok.

Lead Technical Delegate Ms. Karina Picson confirmed that a total of 186 boxers — 77 women and 109 men — will compete in this year’s tournament, representing 17 nations. Among them are some of Asia’s top boxing powerhouses, including Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Jordan, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, and Uzbekistan.

Thailand will be represented by four teams, reflecting the depth and breadth of talent within the host nation’s boxing ranks.

A total of 20 Referees and Judges (R&Js) have been appointed to officiate the bouts, with 10 coming from neutral countries, ensuring the highest standards of fairness and professionalism throughout the competition.

The tournament will officially open on May 24, with the opening ceremony scheduled for 12:30 PM, followed immediately by the first bouts and will broadcast live on Thailand Boxing Association’s YouTube Channel.

As one of the region’s most important international competitions, the Thailand Open provides a critical platform for elite and emerging boxers to gain experience, rankings, and regional recognition. With strong participation across Asia, the event promises high-level action and serves as a valuable step in the preparation pathway toward future continental and global events.
