Bangkok to Unveil World-Class Boxing Training Center by August 2025

Published on: June 24, 2025

Thailand is set to unveil a landmark project that will redefine the landscape of boxing in the region: the Thailand International Boxing Training Center in Bangkok, scheduled for completion in August 2025.

Driven by the unwavering leadership of President Pichai Chunhavajira, the center is the result of his strategic vision and advocacy, which led to direct support from Thailand’s government and Sport Authority of Thailand. With an investment of USD 20.5 million, the 60-meter-high complex will serve as the central training and education hub for boxing athletes, coaches, referees, and officials across Asia.

This Center is not just a facility—it is a commitment to excellence, to development, and to the future of our sport,” said President Pichai. “It will be a home for every boxer in Asia and a foundation for the next generation of champions and leaders.”

The eight-floor structure is meticulously designed to provide world-class functionality and comfort:

The first floor will house the reception, a full-service restaurant, and a canteen to accommodate athletes and guests. The second floor will serve as a media and education center with a press room, seminar facilities, entertainment zones, and a media production hub.

The third floor is dedicated to boxing, featuring three Olympic-sized rings, a training area with fitness equipment, 50 boxing bags, and a swimming pool.

The fourth floor will include a full fitness center and an indoor running track stretching across two floors.

The fifth floor will house administrative offices, a sports science department, rehabilitation and recovery suites, and medical offices, ensuring comprehensive physical care and performance support.

The sixth and seventh floors will provide accommodation with 48 rooms, offering a residential base for national and visiting delegations, athletes, and technical officials.

The eighth floor will feature an open multi-purpose space designed to host events, ceremonies, and competitions, with the ambition of becoming the boxing venue for the 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

This project is being realized through a formal partnership between the Olympic Council of Asia, the Thailand Boxing Association, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Asian Boxing. The four parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly support the establishment and long-term operation of the Thailand International Boxing Training Center.

This agreement reflects a unified commitment to advancing boxing standards across Asia and positions the new Centre as a leading hub for training, education, and development in the region. Additional announcements regarding the grand opening and the international training calendar will be made in due course.
