Asian Boxers Deliver Powerful Performances on Day Two of World Boxing Cup

The second day of the World Boxing Cup 2025 featured a packed schedule across four sessions, with elite male and female athletes from across Asia continuing to demonstrate their strength and technical excellence on the world stage. Fighters from India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Japan, Chinese Taipei, the Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, South Korea, and Azerbaijan were in action across multiple weight categories.
In the 54kg division, Asia enjoyed a sweep of early victories. Feruza Kazakova (UZB) defeated Anel Sakysh (KAZ) in a decisive 5:0, while Huang Hsiao-Wen (TPE) and Sakshi (IND) both earned clean wins over Finland and England respectively. Gamze Soguksu (TUR) outpointed Italy’s Vescovini, while Im Aeji (KOR) was beaten by USA’s Yoseline Perez.
Wu Shih-Yi (TPE) defeated Uzbekistan’s Khumorabonu Mamajonova 5:0 in the 57kg category, while Jaismine (IND) cruised to a 5:0 win over Aynur Mikayilova (AZE), and Satsuki Yoshizawa (JPN) narrowly defeated Turkey’s Esra Yildiz in a 3:2 decision. Meanwhile, Muskan (IND) lost her 75kg bout to Norway’s Hofstad, but Aziza Zokirova (UZB) responded with a shutout win over Poland’s Toborek. In the same division, Nadezhaa Ryabets (KAZ) earned a 4:1 decision over Brazil’s Pereira.
In the men’s 55kg class, Rui Yamaguchi (JPN) defeated India’s Manish Rathore 5:0. Makhmud Sabyrkhan (KAZ) delivered a clinical win over Jaeyong Shin (KOR), while Aaron Jude Bado (PHI) outboxed Tugsbileg Enkhtur (MGL). Michael Trindade (BRA) narrowly defeated Australia’s Kerr Dixon in a split decision.
In the men’s 60kg division, Serik Temirzhanov (KAZ) beat Australia’s Cassar, and Shunsuke Kitamoto (JPN) topped England’s Jack Dryden. Mirzokhid Imamnazarov (KGZ) and Lundaa Gantumur (MGL) also secured strong wins over Turkey and the USA respectively. Sachin (IND) beat Philippines’ Junmilardo Ogayre.
In the men’s 80kg bracket, Nurbek Oralbay (KAZ) scored a dominant 5:0 win over Murad Allahverdiyev (AZE), while India’s Lakshya Chahar was outpointed by Bulgaria’s Cholov. Mert Aybuga (TUR) stopped Japan’s Go Wakaya with an RSC-I, and Omurbek Bekzhigit Uulu (KGZ) lost to France’s Cesar.
Super heavyweight (+90kg) also delivered fireworks, with Aibek Oralbay (KAZ) and Narender (IND) securing unanimous and 4:1 wins respectively. Mahammad Abdullayev (AZE) dominated Mongolia’s Byeknur Khali.
The day ended with multiple standout victories for Asian nations.
