Race for Leadership Begins: Asian Boxing Confirms Final List of Election Candidates

Published on: July 3, 2025

The Race for Leadership in Asian Boxing is officially underway, as the Election Commission finalized the list of approved candidates for the upcoming continental elections.

After convening this week, the Commission conducted a full review of all submissions. Candidates who failed to meet the deadline were not accepted. The final list features leaders from across Asia, nominated for their commitment, experience, and vision for the future of the sport.

The Commission is proud to announce that this election cycle meets the Confederation’s gender equality standards, with several accomplished women standing for office.

To uphold transparency and integrity, the Commission welcomes any verified reports or documented evidence of misconduct or financial impropriety (including bankruptcy) regarding any candidate. Members of the public may submit such material to Secretary General Ali Salameh at ali@asianboxing.org by July 10, 2025. While the decisions of the Commission are final, this channel remains open to safeguard the integrity of the process.

This marks a defining moment for the new Confederation, reinforcing a shared commitment to modern governance, athlete-first values, and a more equitable future for boxing in Asia.
