Asian Boxing Announces Internal Restructuring Under New Leadership

Published on: August 17, 2025

Asian Boxing has announced key internal changes as part of an organisational restructuring initiated by newly elected President Pichai Chunhavajira and newly appointed Secretary General Ali Salameh.

As part of the restructure, Bassam Ghanem, previously Competitions Manager, has been promoted to General Manager. In his expanded role, Ghanem will oversee the organisation’s overall administration and operations, ensuring streamlined coordination across all departments while continuing to support the delivery of top-tier boxing events.

Meanwhile, Kraitach Kaewkate, formerly Sports Manager, will take on the enhanced position of Sports and Competitions Manager. This role merges the sports and competitions portfolios, placing Kaewkate in charge of planning, scheduling, and technical execution across Asian Boxing’s growing event calendar.

The remainder of the Headquarters team will continue in their existing positions, maintaining stability while supporting the organisation’s new strategic direction.

This restructuring marks the first major administrative move under the new leadership, aimed at strengthening efficiency and delivering world-class service to athletes, officials, and member federations across the continent.
