U19 Finals Conclude at the Asian Boxing U19 & U22 Boxing Championships in Bangkok

The U19 finals at the Asian Boxing U19 & U22 Boxing Championships delivered an electrifying display of talent, skill, and determination as boxers from across the continent competed for gold in Bangkok.

In the Women’s Flyweight (51kg) division, Shu Liu of China claimed victory over Xian Baguhin of the Philippines with a dominant 5:0 points decision. India’s Nisha secured the Women’s Bantamweight (54kg) title after a 4:1 win against China’s Sirui Yang. In the Women’s Featherweight (57kg) final, Muskan of India edged past Kazakhstan’s Ayazhan Ermek in a close 3:2 bout.

Sevara Mamatova of Uzbekistan impressed in the Women’s Lightweight (60kg) category, winning 5:0 over India’s Vini. Japan’s Arinda Akimoto took the Women’s Welterweight (65kg) crown with a 4:1 decision over India’s Nisha. In Women’s Light Middleweight (70kg), China’s Abudureyimu Alimire defeated Uzbekistan’s Rayhona Kurbonboeva 5:0. Tongtong Gu of China also sealed a clean 5:0 victory over India’s Aarti Kumari in the Women’s Middleweight (75kg) final.

Kazakhstan’s Kuralay Yeginbaikyzy triumphed 3:2 over India’s Kritika Wasan to secure Women’s Light Heavyweight (80kg) gold, while Uzbekistan’s Sobirakhon Shakhobidinova overcame India’s Parchi Tokas 3:2 in the Women’s Heavyweight (+80kg) division. Uzbekistan’s Maftuna Musurmonova was outpointed 4:1 by Thailand’s Chiranan Dapphonhan in Light Flyweight (48kg) action.

In the men’s finals, Ali Chehreghani of Iran took the Lightweight (60kg) title with a 3:2 decision over Kazakhstan’s Tortubek Adilet. Uzbekistan dominated further as Jakhongir Zaynidinov won the Welterweight (65kg) final 5:0 against India’s Mausam Suhag, and Abdulaziz Jurakulov claimed Light Middleweight (70kg) gold with a 4:1 win over Kazakhstan’s Ashirbay Bibarys.

India’s Rahul Kundu secured the Middleweight (75kg) crown 4:1 over Uzbekistan’s Muhammadjon Yakupboev, while Uzbekistan’s Norbek Abdullaev defeated Kazakhstan’s Taibekov Timur 4:1 for Light Heavyweight (80kg) gold. In the Cruiserweight (85kg) division, Samir Sobiro of Uzbekistan won convincingly, 5:0, against Kazakhstan’s Nursultan Kystaubay. Kazakhstan struck back in the Heavyweight (90kg) final, with Rassul Assankhanov taking a 4:1 win over India’s Hemant Sangwan. The Super Heavyweight (+90kg) title went to Uzbekistan’s Islam Salikhov after a 5:0 victory over the UAE’s Orkhan Aghayev.

Thailand ended the session on a high note, with Kiattisak Sukwee securing the Men’s Flyweight (50kg) gold 5:0 against the Philippines’ Clark Vicera, and Kangpi Bokhunthod dominating Chia-Feng Peng of Chinese Taipei 5:0 to claim the Men’s Bantamweight (55kg) title.
