The sixth day of the Asian Boxing U19 & U22 Boxing Championships 2025 ended with a powerful showcase of talent as the U22 women’s semifinal bouts determined who will fight for gold. A total of 17 contests delivered high-intensity action, marked by precise technique, tactical battles, and dominant finishes.
Uzbekistan once again demonstrated its depth in women’s boxing, with five athletes advancing to the finals. Robiyakhon Bakhtiyorova (48kg) and Odinakhon Ismoilova (60kg) secured unanimous 5:0 victories, while Uzukjamol Yunusova (54kg) and Khumorabonu Mamajonova (57kg) also triumphed in decisive fashion. In the light middleweight category, Oysha Toirova booked her spot with a commanding second-round RSC.
Kazakhstan matched this dominance with a strong performance of its own. Gulnaz Buribayeva (48kg) outpointed Mongolia’s Binderiya Sodon-Od, while Shugyla Nalibay (75kg) and Assel Toktassyn (80+kg) fought their way into the finals with composed and technical displays. Bakyt Seidish (70kg) edged India’s Parnjal Yadav in a 4:1 decision, further underlining Kazakhstan’s medal ambitions.
China’s Yu Tian delivered one of the standout performances of the evening with a first-round stoppage against Vietnam’s Thi Tuyet Tran in the 60kg class. Ziyi Bao (75kg) also impressed, forcing a first-round RSC over Korea’s Gukbi Hong.
Thailand’s Natnicha Chongprongklang (54kg) continued her impressive run with a clean 5:0 win over Chinese Taipei’s Chih-Lin Chiu, while India’s Yatri Shirishkumar Patel (57kg) advanced with a dominant victory over Vietnam’s Thi Nhung Quang.
Chinese Taipei added another finalist as Yu-Ting Jhuo (65kg) outclassed India’s Parthavi Grewal in a sharp 5:0 decision.
