Preparations are well underway in Bahrain ahead of the 3rd Asian Youth Games, as senior officials from Asian Boxing joined forces with the Bahrain Boxing Federation to finalize key arrangements for the boxing competition.

Over the past few days, Asian Boxing General Manager Bassam Ghanem and colleagues conducted site visits to athletes’ accommodation and training facilities, while also holding meetings with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Asian Youth Games and the Bahrain Boxing Federation.

Ghanem was joined by Tony Davis, the LOC Competition Manager, as the pair carried out detailed inspections of venues and finalized layouts to ensure the smooth operation of the boxing events.

During the visit, officials reviewed operational details and confirmed readiness of venues to welcome the continent’s best young athletes. A presentation was also delivered to the LOC teams, outlining the event structure, roles, and responsibilities to ensure seamless delivery of the competition.

The boxing tournament in Bahrain will be held under the auspices of the OCA, Bahrain Boxing Federation, Asian Boxing, and the Asian Youth Games LOC, with organizers emphasizing their commitment to delivering a successful event.

The 3rd Asian Youth Games, set to take place in Manama from October 22 to 31, will gather thousands of athletes from across the continent and also serve as a qualifier for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar.
