Outstanding performances by the youth in Bahrain at the semifinals

The evening session at the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain saw another round of intense semifinal clashes as boxers from across the continent battled for their place in the gold medal bouts.
Girls’ 50kg
India’s Ahaana Sharma defeated Uzbekistan’s Nazokat Mardonova in a close 3–2 split decision, while Ma Jong Hyang of DPR Korea outpointed China’s Cui Xinying with a strong 5–0 win.
Girls’ 60kg
Japan’s Miki Miura earned a 4–1 victory over Furugh Sarhadzoda of Tajikistan. In the other semifinal, Uzbekistan’s Rushanabonu Isoeva advanced by walkover against China’s Wang Jingjing.
Girls’ 75kg
Uzbekistan’s Samira Turgunova showcased precision and power to claim a 5–0 victory against Iran’s Yekta Sahraei, while Kamila Ospanova of Kazakhstan outclassed China’s Zheng Shan, also with a 5–0 decision.
Boys’ 46kg
Uzbekistan’s Abdugani Yorkinjonov dominated Leo Mhar Lobrido of the Philippines (5–0), and Kazakhstan’s Arman Myrsabit secured a matching 5–0 win over Damir Nazarov of Tajikistan.
Boys’ 54kg
Kazakhstan’s Doszhan Zhumakan earned a 4–1 decision against Japan’s Ryusei Kitamura, while Iran’s Matin Chamipa defeated Jordan’s Motaz Almashaleh 5–0 to advance to the final.
Boys’ 66kg
Kazakhstan’s Daniyal Shalkarbay overpowered India’s Anant Gaurishankar Deshmukh (5–0), and Saidkhuja Sadillakhujaev of Uzbekistan won 4–1 over Iran’s Farzan Ahmadi Afzadi.
Boys’ +80kg
Kazakhstan’s Mukhamedali Rustembek took a 5–0 victory against Farhoud Ghorbani of Iran, while Uzbekistan’s Asadbek Sultanboev advanced to the finals after Zuber Salih Othman of Iraq was forced to retire in the first round (ABD R1 0:57).
With both sessions concluded, the stage is now set for the final day of boxing at the Asian Youth Games Bahrain 2025, where the continent’s rising stars will compete for gold.
