PERBATI Marks a New Chapter

The Indonesian boxing community has made history with the successful hosting of the 2025 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Indonesian Boxing Federation (PERBATI) in Nusa Dua, Bali.

This milestone event brought together 27 newly inaugurated provincial boards of PERBATI from across Indonesia. It was also attended by Surono, S.Pd., M.Pd., representing the Minister of Youth and Sports, Raja Sapta Oktohari, President of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI), as well as distinguished guests from Asian Boxing and World Boxing.

The Rakernas marked a historic affirmation of PERBATI’s status as the sole official boxing governing body in Indonesia, formally recognized by the world boxing federation. The gathering also underscored PERBATI’s commitment to strengthening governance and building a pathway toward greater international achievements.

In his remarks, Ali Salameh reaffirmed Asian Boxing’s full support for PERBATI’s strategic direction. He emphasized that the Rakernas holds significant meaning not only for Indonesia but also for the broader Asian boxing landscape.

He also praised PERBATI’s initiatives in formulating the 2026 competition calendar and strategic roadmap toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, describing them as a solid foundation for the future of boxing in Indonesia.

“Asian Boxing will stand firmly alongside PERBATI. We are ready to provide full support in every aspect from organizing regional championships, training referees, judges, and coaches, to building a stronger platform for Indonesian boxers to compete on the international stage,” he added.

Through this Rakernas, PERBATI reaffirms its commitment to advancing Indonesian boxing through professional governance, structured competitions, and international collaboration.
