Strong Performances Continue on Day 3 of Boxing at the Asian Youth Games Bahrain 2025

Day 3 of boxing at the 3rd Asian Youth Games Bahrain 2025 brought another thrilling day of competition as young athletes displayed skill, power, and determination inside the ring. Preliminary bouts in the 50kg, 54kg, 60kg, and 66kg divisions unfolded across two sessions at Exhibition World Bahrain.

The morning session featured preliminary action in the Boys’ 50kg and 54kg categories.
India’s Lanchenba Singh Moibunghkhongbam opened the day with a 4–1 points victory over the Philippines’ Jefferson Amaya, followed by Thailand’s Thitiphan Khamrae, who edged Yemen’s Awsan Yaseen Ali 3–2 in a closely contested bout.

The DPR Korea boxer An Phyong Guk forced a stoppage win in round three against Chinese Taipei’s Wu Cheng-you, while Kazakhstan’s Zhumagali Nurmakhan dominated China’s Jiang Qiancheng for a clean 5–0 score. Tajikistan’s Behruz Umarov impressed with a first-round stoppage over Qatar’s Mohammed Al-Marri.

In the 54kg weight class, Uzbekistan’s Bekhruzjon Rakhataliyev earned a narrow 3–2 decision over China’s Wang Zihan, while Japan’s Ryusei Kitamura won unanimously against Kyrgyzstan’s Nursultan Duishonaliev. Jordan’s Motaz Al-Mashaleh stopped Saudi Arabia’s Sulaiman Al-Salhi in round two, and Lebanon’s Ramzi Hilal claimed a dominant 5–0 points victory over Malaysia’s Adam Guan Sen Ng.

The afternoon session featured high-paced action in the Boys’ 60kg and 66kg divisions.
Iraq’s Abbas Hayder Fadhil Al-Azraqi opened the evening with a second-round stoppage against Qatar’s Fahad Al-Dosari, while Kyrgyzstan’s Zubair Akramov secured a commanding 5–0 points victory over Bangladesh’s Sani Ahmed Bapari. Tajikistan’s Abubakr Azizov won by referee stoppage in round two against Saudi Arabia’s Ayham Mohammed Hmaidan.

China’s Zhang Zhengkun delivered one of the standout performances of the day with a dominant 5–0 win over Mongolia’s Tselmeg Mungunkhulug, while Japan’s Kenshin Sakuno earned a 4–1 decision over Iran’s Amirali Mehrabi.

In the 66kg division, Thailand’s Santi Kaewboonraung outclassed Iraq’s Sajjad Hayder Zghair Al-Saedi with a 5–0 sweep, Uzbekistan’s Saidkhuja Sadillakhujaev won all five scorecards against China’s Abudujieli Kadierding, and Jordan’s Abdallah Toghoz secured a confident 5–0 win over Japan’s Kunimitsu Honjo.
