Asian Boxers Deliver Strong Evening Performances as the Semifinals Continue in Greater Noida

The evening session of the World Boxing Cup Finals brought a new wave of high level semifinal action, with Asian boxers delivering powerful results across multiple weight categories as the road to the finals grows closer.

In the women’s fifty one kilogram division, Chinese Taipei and India claimed both semifinal victories. Chinese Taipei’s Guo Yi Xuan opened the session with a composed and strategic performance to defeat Kazakhstan’s Zhansaya Rakhymberdi by four to one. India’s Nikhat Zareen followed with a dominant five to zero win over Uzbekistan’s Gulsevar Ganieva, securing her place in the final with complete control from the first bell.

The men’s sixty kilogram semifinals produced two dramatic outcomes. Kyrgyzstan’s Seiитbek uulu Munarbek edged England’s William Hewitt in a very close contest, taking a three to two decision. India answered immediately with a flawless performance from Sachin, who defeated Uzbekistan’s Dilshod Abdumurodov by five to zero after a fast paced and technically sharp display.

India continued its winning streak when Hitesh secured a strong five to zero victory against Uzbekistan’s Ismoilov Mukhammadazizbek in the seventy kilogram division. The second semifinal in this weight class delivered another Asian triumph. Kazakhstan’s Nurbek Mursal earned a tight three to two win over Ukraine’s Yurii Zakharieiev, sealing a Kazakhstan versus India showdown in the final.

Uzbekistan added another important win in the men’s seventy five kilogram event. Javokhir Abdurakhimov defeated Ukraine’s Pavlo Illiusha by a three to two margin following a highly competitive bout. The second semifinal saw India’s Sumit fall short against Poland’s Michał Jarlinski, who advanced with a four to one decision.

The evening session concluded with Asia securing multiple final berths across the women’s and men’s brackets. With India, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei, and Kyrgyzstan all advancing, Asia remains at the center of the competition as the World Boxing Cup Finals move toward the decisive final day.
