Dr. Tatsuya Nakama of Japan Elected to the World Boxing Executive Board

The World Boxing Congress in Rome has elected Dr. Tatsuya Nakama of Japan to the Executive Board. This result strengthens Asia’s presence within the leadership structure of the organization and signals strong confidence in his expertise and long standing dedication to the sport.

Dr. Tatsuya Nakama will contribute to governance, development planning and international coordination as World Boxing continues its work toward stability, modernization and global alignment with Olympic standards.

Asian Boxing congratulates Dr. Tatsuya Nakama on this important appointment. His perspective and technical understanding will be valuable in shaping the future of the sport and supporting the next generation of athletes across the continent.

With the addition of Dr Nakama and President Golovkin, Asia now holds four places on the Board. Asian Boxing President Pichai Chunhavajira and Mr. Vargas from the Philippines already serve on the Board, strengthening the voice and leadership of Asia in World Boxing.
