Nupur impressed once again in the women’s eighty plus kilogram category with a commanding five zero win. Asian athletes across the session delivered high quality performances. Uzbekistan posted two dominant wins with Farzona Fozilova earning a close split decision in the forty eight kilogram division and Aziza Zokirova sweeping all five judges in the women’s seventy kilogram category. Japan’s Ayaka Taguchi claimed an important win in the women’s sixty kilogram division. In the heavyweight women’s category, Uzbekistan’s Oltinoy Sotimboeva secured a convincing five zero victory.

India’s Ankush won his eighty kilogram men’s bout with a clean five judge sweep. These results maintain Asia’s strong presence at the World Boxing Cup Finals and set the stage for an intense evening session.
