The boxing competition at the 33rd SEA Games Thailand 2025 moved decisively into its championship phase on Wednesday, 17 December, following the conclusion of Session 8 in Bangkok. The afternoon session delivered dominant performances, technical stoppages, and emphatic victories across women’s and men’s divisions, setting the stage for a highly anticipated finals programme.
In the women’s flyweight category, Thailand’s Raksat Chuthamat produced a composed performance to defeat Indonesia’s Saweho Israellah Athena Bonita by a 4:1 points decision. The Philippines’ Villegas Aira followed with a commanding display, securing a unanimous 5:0 victory over Myanmar’s Mya Moe Thu Mya.
Thailand continued its strong showing in the women’s featherweight division as Ruenros Punrawee claimed a clear 5:0 points win against Indonesia’s Manopo Alfianita Kartika. Vietnam’s Nguyen Huyen Tran also advanced with authority, defeating Myanmar’s Hsu Myat Noe by unanimous decision.
In the men’s flyweight division, Indonesia’s Junior Vicky Tahumil earned a decisive 5:0 points victory over Vietnam’s Nguyen Minh Cuong. Thailand’s Panmot Thitisan later delivered a referee stoppage win in round 3 against Laos’ Heuangthisouan Vanesy, sealing his place in the final.

In the men’s light welterweight division, Thailand’s Pidnuch Khunatip advanced after stopping Laos’ Xayaseng Thongnin in round 3.
