Thailand Claim Four Wins in Session 3 at SEA Games Boxing

Session 3 of the boxing competition at the 33rd SEA Games Thailand 2025 delivered an intense afternoon of action on Friday, 12 December, with the host nation Thailand securing 4 victories, while the Philippines and Indonesia each recorded important wins across the card.

The session opened in the women’s flyweight 50kg division, where Thailand’s Raksat Chuthamat delivered a dominant performance to defeat Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tran by unanimous decision. Chuthamat controlled the bout from start to finish, earning a clean 5 to 0 verdict on the judges’ scorecards.

Thailand added another victory in the women’s light middleweight 70kg category as Baison Manikon overcame the Philippines’ Hergie Bacyadan in a hard fought contest. Manikon’s composure and consistency proved decisive as she secured a victory in a physically demanding bout.

Men’s light 60kg action followed with Indonesia’s Udin Asri claiming a unanimous decision win over Malaysia’s Mohd Johari Muhammad Ridzuan. Asri displayed sharp timing and effective ring control throughout the bout to take all five judges’ cards. Thailand responded immediately in the next contest, with Sakda Ruamtham producing a disciplined performance to defeat the Philippines’ Junmilardo Ogayre by unanimous decision, maintaining the host nation’s strong momentum.

In the men’s welterweight 69kg division, Philippines’ Mark Ashley Fajardo delivered a commanding victory over Indonesia’s Jekri Riwu. Fajardo forced a referee stoppage due to injury in the first round at 1:06, asserting early dominance and closing the contest decisively.

Session 3 concluded with another victory for Thailand as Bunjong Sinsiri defeated Malaysia’s Mohd Farid Muhammad Ariff Aiman by unanimous decision in the men’s welterweight 69kg category, rounding off a successful afternoon for the host nation.
