Uzbekistan Boxing Championships 2026 Conclude in Tashkent

The Uzbekistan Boxing Championships concluded on Thursday in Tashkent, with champions crowned across all men’s and women’s weight categories following a full day of finals action.

The championships brought together leading boxers from across the country, showcasing depth, competitiveness, and emerging talent within Uzbekistan’s national boxing structure.

In the men’s competitions, gold medals were claimed across eleven weight categories, from 50kg through to +90kg. Notable performances included victories by Jalilov Asilbek at 50kg, Olimov Samandar at 55kg, Maxmudjonov Abduraxmon at 60kg, and Saydrahimov Madyar at 90kg. The heavyweight title (+90kg) was secured by Zokirov Jaxongir, completing a strong showing in the upper divisions.

The women’s championships featured ten weight categories, with gold medals awarded from 48kg through to +80kg. Standout winners included Fozilova Farzona (48kg), Kazakova Feruza (51kg), O‘ktamova Nigina (54kg), Turdibekova Sitora (60kg), and Sotimboyeva Oltinoy in the +80kg division. The finals highlighted the continued growth and competitiveness of women’s boxing nationwide.

All finals were contested on January 22, with silver and bronze medals awarded in each weight category according to championship regulations. Teams from regions including Bukhara, Samarkand, Andijan, Fergana, Namangan, Jizzakh, and Tashkent were represented on the medal podium.

The Uzbekistan Boxing Championships 2026 once again underlined the country’s strong domestic boxing system and its commitment to developing athletes across all age groups and weight divisions.
