PERBATI Outlines 2026 Program and Preparations Ahead of Asian Boxing U19 and U23 Boxing Championships

The Indonesian Boxing Association, PERBATI, presented its key programs and activities for 2026 during a press conference held on February 3, 2026, at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta.

The press conference served as a platform to outline PERBATI’s planned initiatives for the year, including competition, technical development, and organizational programs linked to Indonesia’s upcoming role as host of the Asian Boxing U19 and U23 Boxing Championships.

Among the areas highlighted were preparations related to event organization and delivery, as well as supporting infrastructure such as competition and training venues, accommodation, transportation, medical services, and broadcast coordination. These efforts form part of PERBATI’s broader preparations for hosting an international continental championship in accordance with Asian Boxing and World Boxing requirements.

The 2026 program presented at the press conference also included activities focused on the development of boxing in Indonesia, such as referee and judge certification programs, national competitions, and stakeholder coordination meetings. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening technical standards, governance, and operational readiness ahead of major international commitments.

Representatives from the Indonesian National Olympic Committee, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs were in attendance, reflecting institutional support for Indonesia’s ongoing preparations and international boxing objectives.

The press conference underscored PERBATI’s focus on structured planning and capacity building as Indonesia prepares for continental competition and longer term international pathways, including future multi sport and Olympic cycles.
