Asian Boxing has recognized two outstanding officials for their exceptional performance during the Asian Boxing Elite Boxing Championships, awarding Best Referee to Mustafa Abbas of Egypt and Best Judge to Sergej Petrunin (WBX).

At the forefront of this recognition is Mostafa Abbas of Egypt, whose performances in the ring defined the standard of refereeing at this championship. Demonstrating exceptional control, awareness, and composure, Abbas ensured that each bout was conducted with fairness, safety, and respect for the athletes. His ability to read the flow of a contest and intervene with precision reflected both experience and deep technical understanding, reinforcing the critical role of the referee in protecting fighters while preserving the integrity of competition.

Alongside him, Sergej Petrunin (WBX) delivered outstanding work as judge. His scoring throughout the competition was marked by consistency, discipline, and technical accuracy. His ability to evaluate each exchange with clarity and impartiality highlights the importance of neutral officiating at the highest level of the sport.

At a championship of this magnitude, officiating extends far beyond oversight. It is a responsibility that directly impacts the trajectory of athletes’ careers, with every decision influencing rankings, opportunities, and long-term development.

Integrity, mindfulness, and precision remain the foundation of elite officiating. Both Abbas and Petrunin embodied these principles, demonstrating unwavering dedication to the sport and to the athletes they serve.

This edition of the Asian Boxing Elite Boxing Championships holds particular significance as the first Elite-level continental ranking competition organized under Asian Boxing within the World Boxing framework. As such, the standard of officiating was paramount, ensuring that results are not only earned in the ring, but upheld through fair and consistent judgment.

As Asian Boxing continues to strengthen its competitive structure, the role of referees and judges remains central. Their commitment ensures that boxing progresses with transparency, credibility, and respect for every athlete stepping through the ropes.
