The Administrative Heart of Asian Boxing
The administrative heart of Asian Boxing drives the sport’s growth, ensuring smooth operations, athlete support, and strategic development. Based in Bangkok, it fosters collaboration, upholds high standards, and shapes the future of Olympic boxing in Asia.
Ali Salameh is the Interim Secretary General of Asian Boxing, appointed in 2024 following the conclusion of his term as Secretary General of the Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC). A veteran sports administrator, he also serves as the Executive Secretary of the UAE Boxing Federation, a position he has held since 2014. Born in Kuwait and holding Jordanian nationality, Salameh began his career in 2005 with the Jordan Football Association. In 2009, he transitioned to boxing, joining the Jordan Boxing Association, where he served as Executive Director and later as Secretary General. During his tenure, he played a key role in facilitating the qualification of Jordan’s first boxer to compete in the London 2012 Olympic Games—a milestone achievement in the country’s boxing history. In 2011, he became a certified International Technical Official (ITO) with the International Boxing Association (IBA). Salameh holds a degree in Rehabilitation of Sports Injuries from the Hashemite University, earned in 2005.
