Boxing Confirmed for LA28 Olympics!

Boxing has officially secured its place in the sports program for the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028 (LA28). The decision was approved today by the 144th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session during the second day of its meeting in Costa Navarino, Greece.

The confirmation of boxing’s inclusion ensures that the sport will continue to be a key part of the Olympic movement, providing a platform for athletes worldwide to showcase their talent on the biggest stage.

President Pichai Chunhavajira expressed his support, saying, “We are grateful to the IOC for recognizing the importance of boxing in the Olympic Games. This decision reaffirms our commitment to the sport’s growth, integrity, and development at all levels. We are excited for the future and will continue working to elevate boxing on the Olympic stage.”

With this approval, preparations will continue to ensure a successful boxing competition at LA28, where the world’s best fighters will compete for Olympic glory.
