After nearly two weeks of electrifying competition, the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships concluded with a dramatic final session in Amman, where the region’s most promising young athletes battled for gold in front of a packed house at the Sports Palace.
With 26 U17 finals taking place on the closing day—13 for boys and 13 for girls—the evening was a celebration of skill, heart, and discipline. Spectators were treated to world-class performances as the next generation of boxing talent stepped into the ring for continental glory.
U17 Boys Finals – Rising Stars Shine
In the boys’ finals, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine emerged as dominant forces. Kazakhstan’s Nurmakhan Zhumagali set the tone in the 44–46kg division, while Uzbekistan’s Habibulla Saynazarov delivered a clinical performance in the 48kg bout.
Ukraine’s Serhii Artemenko earned a convincing victory over Kazakhstan’s Khalif Rassul at 50kg, before Temirali Temirbayev (KAZ) and Doszhan Zhumakan (KAZ) swept the next two weight classes at 52kg and 54kg.
The mid- and upper-weight categories saw Uzbekistan’s Asilbek Abdukadirov, Diyorbek Murodilloev, and Saidkhuja Sadillakhujaev add to their country’s gold medal count, while Iran’s Amirali Mehrabi claimed a decisive win at 60kg.
Japan’s Kunimitsu Honjo edged a tough contest in the 66kg final, while Kazakhstan’s Sanzhar Matassov and Mukhamedali Rustembek delivered commanding victories at 75kg and 80kg respectively. The final boys’ bout saw Oleksandr Khomenko of Ukraine secure gold in the +80kg division.

U17 Girls Finals – India, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan Excel
The girls’ finals showcased some of the most exciting action of the night. India’s Khushi Chand edged Mongolia’s Altanzul Altangadas in a thrilling 3:2 decision at 44–46kg, while Nazokat Mardonova (UZB) and Ahaana Sharma (IND) dominated at 48kg and 50kg.
Kazakhstan’s Maral Tolepbergen and India’s Jannat Jannat impressed at 52kg and 54kg, while Farzuna Ruzieva (UZB) clinched gold at 57kg in a tight 3:2 win over Ukraine’s Viktoria Rosetska.
At 60kg and 63kg, Rushanabonu Isoeva (UZB) and Ayaulym Ospanova (KAZ) delivered strong technical victories, before Dilyara Tursynbek (KAZ) stopped her opponent in the first round at 66kg.
Kamila Ospanova (KAZ) edged Ulbosin Djalgasbaeva (UZB) in the 70kg final, while Diana Nadyrbek (KAZ) emerged victorious in a hard-fought 75kg match. Uzbekistan closed the girls’ finals with a win at 80kg through Mavjuda Abdusaidova, and India’s Anshika sealed the event with an RSC victory in the +80kg category.
A Closing Celebration of Unity and Youth Excellence
As the lights dimmed on the championship stage, athletes, coaches, and dignitaries gathered to celebrate the culmination of an event that brought together 400 boxers from 18 countries. Over the course of the tournament, sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and technical excellence defined every bout.
