India Leads the Medal Table as Champions Crowned in U15 Finals at Asian Boxing Championships

The U15 competition at the Asian Boxing Championships concluded with a high-energy day of finals at the Sports Palace in Amman. With 30 gold medals up for grabs across boys’ and girls’ divisions, the region’s rising stars delivered powerful performances, closing the tournament in style.
India emerged as the top-performing nation, finishing with 11 gold medals, driven by a dominant showing in the girls’ division where they won 10 out of 15 finals. Uzbekistan followed with 7 gold medals, most of which came from the boys’ categories. Kazakhstan secured 6 titles, while Ukraine picked up 3 golds. Turkmenistan, Bahrain, and Iraq each celebrated a single historic gold medal.
Boys’ Finals Recap
In the lighter weights, Kazakhstan’s Damir Janshilikov and India’s Sanskar Vinod Atram kicked off the finals with sharp performances. Uzbekistan showed strength in the mid-weight divisions with wins from Mukhriddin Khamidjonov, Jakhongirjon Usmankulov, and Khadyatulloh Saydullaev.
One of the most notable results came from Jayden Price, who delivered a milestone victory for Bahrain in the 43kg category, while Sajjad Saleem gave Iraq its lone gold at 64kg. The +70kg bout saw Kazakhstan’s Nurislam Tashmaganbet dominate to close out the boys’ program.
Girls’ Finals Recap
India’s girls set the standard for excellence throughout the day. Gold medalists included Komal (30-33kg), Khushi Ahlawat (35kg), Tamanna (37kg), Svi (40kg), Milky Meinam (43kg), Princi (52kg), Navya (58kg), Sunaina (61kg), Trushana (67kg), and Vanshika (70+kg).
Kazakhstan struck back with important wins by Akerke Dalabay (64kg) and Zhansaya Yerzhan (70kg). Uzbekistan’s Parvina Shakarova (49kg) and Madinabonu Khudoyorova (55kg) added to their country’s gold tally, while Ukraine’s Viktoriia Amelchenko (46kg) claimed a dominant 5:0 victory.
With the U15 champions now crowned, attention turns to the U17 Finals, which will take place on April 30 at 2:00 PM local time. The closing day promises to deliver one final celebration of youth boxing excellence on the Asian stage.
