High Stakes and Heavy Hits in Day 6 Evening Session at the Asian Boxing Championships

The evening session of Day 6 at the Asian Boxing U15 and U17 Championships saw 24 fierce bouts unfold at the Sports Palace in Amman, with the continent’s rising stars continuing to impress on the road to the finals.

The night featured 15 U17 Boys’ bouts, covering weight categories from 52kg to 57kg, followed by 9 U17 Girls’ bouts across the 52kg to 57kg classes. The session highlighted the tactical dominance and technical skill of young boxers from Uzbekistan, India, Kazakhstan, and other top-performing nations.

U17 Boys Highlights:

Motaz Almashaleh (JOR) thrilled the home crowd with an RSC win over Taiwan’s Cheng-You Wu in Round 2.

Tikam Singh (IND) made a strong statement, stopping Palestine’s Othman Diab in the second round.

Rizvan Isaev (KGZ) impressed with a Round 3 stoppage against Zhe-Ming Zhang of Chinese Taipei.

Ehsan Zolfi (IRI) edged out Ukraine’s Ivan Shulha in a close 3:2 decision.

U17 Girls Highlights:

Sabrina Chakomanova (UZB) recorded an RSC win in Round 2 over Vietnam’s Thi Thanh Ha Dang in the 54kg category.

Jannat Jannat (IND) continued her winning streak with a 4:1 decision over Ukraine’s Anhelina Rumiantseva.

Farzuna Ruzieva (UZB) closed the night with a decisive RSC win in Round 3 against Palestine’s Nawal Hamade in the 57kg division.

Shirin Tursalieva (KGZ) dominated Jordan’s Julia Sheikh with a clean 5:0 sweep.

This session showcased not only the talent but the fierce determination of Asia’s young boxing generation, who continue to compete at an elite level in front of a packed and passionate Jordanian crowd.

The Championships, which bring together over 400 athletes from 18 nations, continue tomorrow with starting at 12pm local time.
