Non-Stop Action in Day 7 Afternoon Session at the U17 Asian Boxing Championships

The afternoon session of Day 7 at the Asian Boxing U15 and U17 Championships in Amman delivered a thrilling showcase of skill, heart, and determination, as boxers across 20 action-packed bouts battled for a place in the semifinals.
The session featured 16 boys’ bouts across the 60kg to 70kg weight classes, followed by 4 girls’ bouts at 60kg and 63kg. Athletes from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, India, Iran, and several other countries stamped their authority in a day full of technical displays, powerful finishes, and tactical masterclasses.
U17 Boys Highlights:
Iran’s Amirali Mehrabi opened the day with a hard-fought 3:2 split decision win over India’s Sahil Duhan in the 60kg division.
Kenshin Sakuno (JPN) and Abrorbek Sharipov (UZB) both delivered dominant wins at 60kg, while Kazakhstan’s Anvar Idrissov impressed with a lightning-fast RSC victory just two seconds into Round 2 against Kyrgyzstan’s Dovud Abdullaev.
In the 63kg category, Aman Siwach (IND) stopped the Philippines’ Ziadrach James Cabrera by RSC in Round 2, while Yazeed Jaradat (JOR) delighted the home crowd with a strong 5:0 victory over Thailand’s Rafa Oakkharathewa.
Navid Rezaei (IRI), Kunimitsu Honjo (JPN), and Daniyal Shalkarbay (KAZ) each secured convincing wins to advance.
Aziretkhan Mairanbekov (KGZ) overwhelmed Zaid Matlkeh (JOR) for an RSC win in Round 1 in the 66kg division.
Moving into the heavier 70kg class, Amirmahdi Ezzati Hajibaba (IRI) edged out Ukraine’s Mykyta Koval by a narrow 3:2 margin, and Ulan Mairambekov (KGZ) also pulled off a tight 3:2 victory over Toyly Bazarov (TKM).
Jordan’s Abdallah Toghoz sent the local fans into a frenzy, stopping Zih-Jin Huang (TPE) in the first round.
Diyorbek Murodilloev (UZB) closed the boys’ program with a commanding 5:0 decision over Kuanysh Urumbassar (KAZ).
U17 Girls Highlights:
Simranjeet Kaur (IND) produced a clean 5:0 performance to defeat Jordan’s Aya Alhasanat in the 60kg class.
Rushanabonu Isoeva (UZB) showed her power, forcing a referee stoppage in Round 3 against Kyrgyzstan’s Symbat Uraimzhanova.
Aidana Abdikerim (KAZ) overpowered Taiwan’s Yu-Jun Lin, winning via RSC in Round 2.
The session concluded with Kateryna Moroz (UKR) securing a dominant 5:0 win over Uzbekistan’s Charoskhon Ergasheva in the 63kg division.
With only a few days left before the finals, the intensity continues to rise as Asia’s best young talents move closer to glory at the inaugural Asian Boxing U15 and U17 Championships.
