Uzbekistan, India, and Kazakhstan Dominate in Evening Session of Day 5

The intensity continued to build at the Asian Boxing U15 Championships as Session 8A delivered a thrilling series of bouts featuring rising stars from across the continent. With 13 contests spanning boys’ and girls’ categories from 58kg to +70kg, athletes showcased determination, discipline, and a growing command of the ring.

Uzbekistan’s Jakhongirjon Usmankulov opened the session with a powerful performance in the U15 Boys 58kg division, securing a unanimous 5:0 victory over India’s Naman Saini. In the same weight class, Kazakhstan’s Zhandos Kalkhanov edged past Iran’s Seyyedariyamohammad Mousavi in a close 3:2 decision.

At 61kg, Khadyatulloh Saydullaev (UZB) and Abhijeet Abhijeet (IND) both recorded dominant 5:0 wins against opponents from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, respectively, while the 64kg category delivered some of the day’s most gripping moments.

Meiirzhan Shadi (KAZ) triumphed over Kyrgyzstan’s Rauf Chishiza in a narrow 3:2 win, and Sajjad Saleem (IRQ) forced a stoppage in round three against the Philippines’ Jorma Creo. Andrii Lisnyk (UKR) and Lakshay Phogat (IND) also advanced with strong performances in the same division.

In the U15 Boys 67kg contest, Meyrambek Aliev (UZB) edged out India’s Arpit Bishnoi in a 3:2 split decision, while Nurislam Tashmaganbet (KAZ) stopped Yamanveer Jawandha (IND) in the first round of their +70kg clash.

The girls’ bouts rounded out the session with equally high-caliber displays. Princi Princi (IND) stunned Ukraine’s Yeva Kubanova with a commanding 5:0 win in the 52kg division. At 55kg, Madina Sapar (KAZ) outpointed Vietnam’s Thi Van Dam Thao, and Samruddhi Satish Shinde (IND) closed the session with a TKO in round three over Ukraine’s Kseniia Savina.
