The action continued at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships with an intense afternoon session that featured 11 compelling bouts across the boys’ and girls’ U15 divisions. Young talents from across the continent showcased grit, technique, and determination as they battled for a place in the next round.
In the U15 Boys category, Ukraine’s Kostiantyn Slipchuk delivered a standout performance in the 52kg division, defeating Kazakhstan’s Zholzhigit Zhetpysbay by a 4:1 decision. Uzbekistan also continued its strong showing, with Temurbek Bakhtiyorov, Elshod Shakirjonov, Hasan Kholmurodov, and Nurbakyt Toregeldi all securing victories across various weight classes. India’s Nelson Khwairakpam scored a stoppage win over Chinese Taipei’s Sheng-Yang Wang in the 55kg category, while Iran’s Mohammadtaha Najafi edged out a close 3:2 decision over Kyrgyzstan’s Elzar Anarbekov.
The U15 Girls bouts saw commanding performances from Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Viktoria Amelchenko (UKR) earned a points win over India’s Yanshika in the 46kg class. Uzbekistan’s Parvina Shakarova and Mazjona Sultonova also impressed—Shakarova won on points against Kazakhstan’s Merey Zhumagali, while Sultonova stopped Chinese Taipei’s Jia-Yu Song in the 61kg bout. Ukraine’s Zlata Vovk also claimed victory in the 49kg class, defeating Syuan-Cai Chen (TPE).
