The Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament 2025 came to a powerful close today in Bangkok, as 20 champions were crowned in a day filled with elite-level competition and fierce national pride.
The tournament showcased the very best of international boxing with standout performances from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Thailand, India, and several other participating nations. A total of 20 gold medals were contested across men’s and women’s divisions, covering weight categories from flyweight to super heavyweight.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan emerged as dominant forces at the Thailand Open, each capturing five gold medals in a show of depth and talent across multiple weight categories. Uzbekistan’s champions included Melikuziev Shodiyorjon (Men’s 50kg), Dusmatov Faryozbek (55kg), Tokhirov Nusratbek (85kg), Fozilova Farzona (Women’s 48kg), and Zokirova Aziza (Women’s 75kg). Meanwhile, Kazakhstan’s gold medalists featured Torekhan Sabyrkhan (70kg), Dias Molzhigitov (80kg), Viktoriya Grafeyeva (Women’s 60kg), Yeldana Talipova (Women’s 80+kg), and Natalya Bogdanova (Women’s 70kg), underscoring the nation’s growing presence on the international boxing stage.
Host nation Thailand thrilled the home crowd with three gold medal victories: Khunatip Pidnuch (65kg), Natchanicha Chongprongklang (Women’s 54kg), and Punrawee Ruenros (57kg), underscoring the country’s continued commitment to developing world-class boxing talent.
India, China, Jordan, Ukraine, and Chinese Taipei all secured medals, contributing to a vibrant and diverse podium across all categories. China’s female boxers in particular delivered a strong showing, earning three gold medals in the women’s 51kg, 65kg, and 80kg divisions.
Following the final bouts, President Pichai Chunhavajira, President of Asian Boxing and the Thailand Boxing Association, officially closed the event, extending his heartfelt gratitude to all participating athletes, coaches, officials, and supporters.
