25 Nations and 350 boxers to Compete at the Asian Boxing U19 & U22 Boxing Championships in Bangkok

Asian Boxing, in collaboration with World Boxing and the Thailand Boxing Association, will host the Asian Boxing U19 & U22 Boxing Championships, set to take place from July 30 to August 12, 2025, at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand.
This major continental championship will bring together athletes from 25 countries, including: Afghanistan, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Qatar, China, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, UAE, and Vietnam.
Open exclusively to athletes registered by official Asian National Federations, the championships will follow Olympic-style boxing regulations under the governance of World Boxing. It represents one of Asia’s premier platforms for emerging boxing talent.
The event will feature male and female boxers competing in two divisions:
-U19 (born in 2007 or 2008)
-U22 (born between 2004 and 2006)
Competition will span a wide range of weight categories:
U19 Weight Categories:
Men: 47–50kg, 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, +90kg
Women: 45–48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, +80kg
U22 Weight Categories:
Men: 47–50kg, 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, +90kg
Women: 45–48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, +80kg
Building on the success of Asian Boxing’s inaugural event, this championship reinforces the Confederation’s commitment to athlete development, international competition, and a transparent, athlete-centered approach to governance. It also serves as a crucial stepping stone for young boxers preparing for global-level events and Olympic qualification pathways.
