Asia Dominates the World Boxing Cup Finals in India as India Tops the Medal Table with Twenty Medals

The World Boxing Cup Finals in Greater Noida concluded with a powerful display from Asia’s leading boxing nations. India delivered an exceptional performance, finishing at the top of the overall medal standings with twenty medals, including nine golds, six silvers and five bronzes. Uzbekistan secured second place with thirteen medals, while England followed with six medals.
The finals showcased the depth of Asian boxing with multiple weight categories won by India, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Chinese Taipei and Japan. Strong performances from Asian women and men underscored the continent’s competitive strength on the global stage.
India’s women were outstanding throughout the event. Nikhat Zareen claimed a commanding win in the fifty one kilogram final with a unanimous decision over Guo Yi Xuan of Chinese Taipei. Jaismine added another gold in the fifty seven kilogram division, securing a four to one win against Wu Shih Yi. Parveen earned India’s third consecutive victory in the women’s sixty kilogram final with a narrow split decision against Japan’s Taguchi Ayaka. Earlier in the day, Minakshi and Preeti both delivered dominant wins in the forty eight kilogram and fifty four kilogram categories, while Arundhati Choudhary and Nupur added further victories in the seventy kilogram and eighty plus kilogram divisions.
Asian strength continued in the men’s finals. Sachin secured gold for India in the sixty kilogram category after a clean sweep on the judges’ scorecards against Munarbek Seiitbek Uulu of Kyrgyzstan. In the seventy kilogram final, Hitesh earned a close three to two win over Kazakhstan’s Mursal Nurbek.
Uzbekistan showcased its power in the men’s middle and heavy divisions. Javokhir Abdurakhimov won the seventy five kilogram final with a four to one decision over Michal Jarlinski of Poland. Uzbekistan also claimed the super heavyweight title when Khalimjon Mamasoliev outboxed India’s Narender in a unanimous decision. Earlier in the day, Uzbekistan celebrated victories from Asilbek Jalilov at fifty kilograms and Samandar Olimov at fifty five kilograms.
Kazakhstan and Chinese Taipei added important podium finishes of their own. Chen Nien Chin of Chinese Taipei delivered a strong performance to win the women’s sixty five kilogram title. Kazakhstan’s Sultanbek Aibaruly earned silver in the eighty five kilogram final after a competitive bout with Uzbekistan’s Jasurbek Yuldoshev.
With India leading the standings and Uzbekistan, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan and Japan all claiming medals, the World Boxing Cup Finals once again demonstrated Asia’s strength and rising influence in world boxing. The event concluded with Asia securing the highest number of medals among all continents, reinforcing its position at the forefront of global competition.
