World Boxing has announced the entry deadline for the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026, the under-19 international tournament that forms part of the official pathway to the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026. National federations have until 16 January 2026 to submit entries for the competition, which will take place from 8 to 15 March 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Futures Cup will be hosted by the Thailand Boxing Association and is open to male and female boxers competing in the under-19 age category. Eligible athletes must be born between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2009. Each national federation may enter a maximum of one boxer per weight category, with ten weight categories available for men and ten for women.
Entry into the World Boxing Futures Cup is a mandatory requirement for boxers seeking eligibility consideration for selection to the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026. Participation in the tournament, however, does not guarantee selection, with Youth Olympic Games boxing competition limited to five weight categories per gender and additional age eligibility criteria applying.
World Boxing has urged national federations to ensure that all entries are submitted in full before the deadline, noting that late submissions will not be accepted.
