Olympians Set to Headline Asian Boxing Elite Boxing Championships in Ulaanbaatar

The Asian Boxing Elite Boxing Championships 2026 will bring together some of the biggest names in international boxing, with a strong lineup of Olympians confirmed to compete in Ulaanbaatar.

Featuring Olympic medallists, champions, and rising stars from across the continent, the Championships will showcase elite-level competition as Asia’s top athletes return to the ring following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Among the standout names is China’s Olympic champion Wu Yu, alongside Chinese Taipei’s historic gold medallist Lin Yu-ting and Kazakhstan’s Olympic silver medallist Nurbek Oralbay. India’s contingent includes Olympic bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain, joined by fellow Olympians Nikhat Zareen, Pooja Rani, Preeti, and Jaismine.

Kazakhstan will field a powerful team featuring Makhmud Sabyrkhan, Aibek Oralbay, and Valentina Khalzova, while Uzbekistan’s next generation of Olympians, including Sabina Bobokulova, Nigina Uktamova, and Sitora Turdibekova, add further depth to the competition.

Jordan’s experienced trio of Olympians Hussein Iashaish, Obada Al-Kasbeh, and Zeyad Eashash will also take to the ring, alongside Japan’s Olympic bronze medallist Tsukimi Namiki and Olympian Sewon Okazawa. Tajikistan’s Mijgona Samadova and two-time Olympian Bakhodur Usmonov further strengthen the field, while Vietnam’s Võ Thị Kim Ánh and Korea’s history-making medallist Im Ae-ji add to a truly continental lineup.

Olympians are not the only names drawing attention, with standout talents including Torekhan Sabyrkhan of Kazakhstan, Huang Hsiao-wen and Chen Nien-Chin of Chinese Taipei, Mongolia’s Mungunsaran Balsan, India’s Narender, Sachin, and Vishvanath Suresh, Singapore’s Velvan Tan, and Uzbekistan’s Javokhir Abdurakhimov and Aziza Zokirova all set to feature.

With nearly 250 boxers from across Asia confirmed, the Asian Boxing Elite Boxing Championships in Ulaanbaatar promises to be one of the most competitive and high-profile editions to date, as the continent’s best prepare to meet in the ring once again.
