Over 450 Boxers Set for World Boxing Futures Cup in Bangkok

More than 450 boxers representing over 78 National Federations are set to compete at the World Boxing Futures Cup, which begins on 8 March 2026 at the Indoor Stadium Huamark in Bangkok, Thailand.
Organized by World Boxing in cooperation with the Thailand Boxing Association, the tournament will run until 15 March 2026 and forms part of the qualification pathway for the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026, scheduled for November in Senegal.
The World Boxing Futures Cup is an Under 19 competition. Eligible athletes must be born between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2009. The tournament will feature ten weight categories for both men and women, with each National Federation permitted to enter one boxer in each division.
Competition will take place across two rings at the Indoor Stadium Huamark, with two sessions scheduled daily throughout the preliminary rounds. The championship will conclude with the gold medal finals on 15 March.
World Boxing and the Thailand Boxing Association have been working closely to address travel disruptions affecting some delegations following recent developments in the Middle East. Both organizations remain committed to ensuring a high quality competition for all participants and continue to liaise with the International Olympic Committee regarding the situation.
