Day 8 of the Asian Boxing Elite Boxing Championships delivered a compelling session at the ASA Arena, with standout performances across the women’s 51kg, 60kg, 70kg, and 75kg divisions, alongside key bouts in the men’s 55kg category.

In the women’s 51kg division, China’s Olympic Gold Medalist Yu Wu produced one of the biggest results of the session, defeating India’s top seed Zareen Nikhat by unanimous decision. DPR Korea’s Kum Byol An won with a dominant 5:0 victory over Chinese Taipei’s Yi-Xuan Guo.

The women’s 60kg division saw DPR Korea’s Un long Won secure a strong win over Chinese Taipei’s Olympic Gold Medalist Yu-Ting Lin, while India’s Priya delivered a composed and dominant unanimous decision against Mongolia’s Namuun Monkhor.

In the 70kg division, Kazakhstan’s Bakyt Seidish impressed with a clean sweep on the scorecards against China’s Alimire Abudureyimu. India’s Arundhati Choudhary followed with a confident 4:1 victory over Uzbekistan’s Oysha Toirova.

The women’s 75kg division delivered high-quality matchups, with Uzbekistan’s Aziza Zokirova securing a unanimous decision over India’s Lovlina Borgohain in a major result. China’s Ziyi Bao edged Kazakhstan’s Valentina Khalzova in a competitive bout to advance.

In the men’s 55kg division, Mongolia’s Bilguunsaikhan Kharkhuu thrilled the home crowd with a dominant unanimous victory over Kazakhstan’s top seed Makhmud Sabyrkhan. Japan’s Rui Yamaguchi closed the session with a strong 4:1 win over China’s Chuang Liu.
