Asian Games Confirms Boxing Competition Schedule by Weight Category

The Organising Committee for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 has officially confirmed the boxing competition schedule by weight category, providing athletes, National Olympic Committees, and boxing fans with a clear roadmap for the tournament.

The competition will take place from 21 September to 2 October 2026, with preliminary bouts beginning on 21 September before progressing through the semi-finals on 29 and 30 September and concluding with the gold medal bouts on 2 October.

The schedule outlines when each men’s and women’s weight category will compete throughout the tournament, allowing teams to finalise their preparations ahead of one of Asia’s most prestigious multi-sport events.
Competition will be held across two daily sessions during the preliminary rounds, with afternoon sessions beginning at 12:00 or 13:00 and evening sessions starting at 17:00, depending on the competition day. The finals on 2 October will also be split across two medal sessions.

The men’s competition will feature the 55kg, 60kg, 70kg, 80kg, 90kg and +90kg weight categories, while the women’s competition will be contested in the 51kg, 54kg, 60kg, 65kg and 75kg divisions.

According to the published schedule, each weight category has been allocated specific competition days throughout the preliminary rounds before advancing to the semi-finals and finals.

The Organising Committee noted that the competition schedule remains subject to change, with dates and session times able to be revised if required.

The boxing tournament at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 is expected to bring together many of Asia’s leading Olympic-style boxers as they compete for continental glory and Asian Games medals.
