Finalists Confirmed as Semifinal Action Continues at Aichi-Nagoya 2026

The semifinal stage of the boxing competition at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games continued on Day 9 at Nishio Gymnasium, with ten bouts deciding finalists across the women’s 54kg and 65kg and the men’s 60kg, 80kg and +90kg divisions.

Thailand’s Natnicha Chongprongklang secured her place in the women’s 54kg final after a closely contested 3-2 victory over Japan’s Tsukimi Namiki. She will meet DPR Korea’s Pang Chol Mi, who produced a unanimous 5-0 victory over China’s Zhao Xuan.

In the women’s 65kg division, Chinese Taipei’s Chen Nien-chin advanced following a 3-2 win over DPR Korea’s Hwang Hyo Sun. India’s Parveen completed the final pairing with an impressive unanimous 5-0 victory over China’s Li Shu.

Uzbekistan’s Abdumalik Khalokov continued his campaign in the men’s 60kg division with a 4-1 victory over Japan’s Shunsuke Kitamoto. Korea’s Jang Donghwan also booked his place in the final after defeating Tajikistan’s Akmal Ubaidov by unanimous 5-0 decision.

India celebrated another finalist in the men’s 80kg division as Ankush defeated Uzbekistan’s Fazliddin Erkinboev 4-1. Korea’s Kim Minseong will face him in the final after recording a unanimous 5-0 victory over Jordan’s Hussein Iashaish.

Kazakhstan’s Aibek Oralbay progressed to the men’s +90kg final with a unanimous 5-0 victory over India’s Narender.

Uzbekistan’s Jakhongir Zokirov completed the session by advancing against Iran’s Amir Esmaeili Vandaei, with the contest stopped due to injury in the second round.

With places in the finals now secured, the competition moves closer to its decisive stage as Asia’s leading boxers continue their pursuit of Asian Games gold.
