Thailand, India and Uzbekistan Strike Gold as Asian Games Boxing Concludes in Aichi-Nagoya

The final session of boxing at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games delivered five more champions as the competition came to a close at Nishio Gymnasium.
Thailand’s Natnicha Chongprongklang opened Session 20 by claiming the Women’s 54 kg gold medal. Chongprongklang defeated DPR Korea’s Pang Chol Mi 4-1 in the final to secure the Asian Games title.
India then celebrated its second women’s boxing gold of the day as Parveen defeated Chinese Taipei’s Chen Nien-chin in the Women’s 65 kg final. The closely contested bout ended in a 3-2 split decision in favour of the Indian boxer.
Uzbekistan’s Abdumalik Khalokov added Asian Games gold to his outstanding international record in the Men’s 60 kg. The Olympic champion produced a dominant performance against Korea’s Jang Donghwan, taking a unanimous 5-0 decision.
India returned to the top of the podium in the Men’s 80 kg as Ankush defeated Korea’s Kim Minseong 4-0. The victory completed an impressive campaign for the Indian boxer, who had defeated Uzbekistan’s Fazliddin Erkinboev in the semifinal.
The final boxing gold medal of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games was claimed by Kazakhstan’s Aibek Oralbay, who defeated Uzbekistan’s Jakhongir Zokirov 5-0 by unanimous decision in the Men’s +90 kg final.
The five bouts brought Session 20 and the Asian Games boxing competition to a close, following 11 finals across the two sessions on the final day. Asia’s new champions leave Aichi-Nagoya with gold after a competition that brought together the continent’s leading Olympic-style boxers across 11 weight categories.
