Day 3 of Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships Showcases U17 Boys’ Talent in Amman

The third day of competition at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships continued with a gripping afternoon session featuring 11 bouts in the U17 Boys category. Hosted at the Martyr Rashid Al-Zyoud Hall in Amman, the session highlighted technical precision, aggressive exchanges, and standout performances across multiple weight classes.

In the 60kg division, Iran’s Amirali Mehrabi opened the session with a dominant 5:0 decision over Iraq’s Sajjad Al-Saedi. Uzbekistan’s Abrorbek Sharipov followed with a third-round stoppage (RSC) of Thailand’s Santi Kaewboonraung, while Kazakhstan’s Anvar Idrissov secured another RSC win in the second round against Turkmenistan’s Ovez Ovezov.

The 63kg category saw India’s Aman Siwach earn a close 4:1 win over Abubakir Duisheev of Kyrgyzstan. Ukraine’s Bohdan Kozak forced a stoppage in round three against Kazakhstan’s Aldiyar Bayandinov, and Thailand’s Rafa Oakkharathewa secured an ABD win over Palestine’s Zaid Alali. Abdyrahman Babayev of Turkmenistan closed out the 63kg bouts with a first-round RSC against Chinese Taipei’s Guan-Yu Chen.

In the 66kg class, Japan’s Kunimitsu Honjo outpointed Uzbekistan’s Sunnatbek Ilhomov with a clear 5:0 decision. At 70kg, Ukraine’s Mykyta Koval stopped UAE’s Yousef Alnabulsi in round three, while Kazakhstan’s Kuanysh Urumbassar scored a convincing 5:0 victory over India’s Anshul Khasa.

The final bout of the session in the +80kg division saw Iran’s Farhoud Ghorbani overpower Jui-Hsi Kuo of Chinese Taipei.

These bouts underscored the high level of competition on display throughout the championships, with athletes showcasing both discipline and determination.
