U15 Finalists Confirmed After Exciting Second Wave of Semifinals at Asian Boxing Championships

The second set of U15 semifinals at the Asian Boxing Championships in Amman delivered another thrilling afternoon of competition, as more young talents secured their spots in the Finals scheduled for April 29 at 2:00 PM local time.

The action in the boys’ divisions saw several dominant performances. Uzbekistan’s Hasan Kholmurodov and Kazakhstan’s Nurbakyt Toregeldi advanced from the 55kg class with decisive victories. At 58kg, Jakhongirjon Usmankulov (UZB) and Zhandos Kalkhanov (KAZ) moved into the finals, with Kalkhanov earning his place with an RSC win in the second round.

In the 61kg category, Khadyatulloh Saydullaev (UZB) and Abhijeet Abhijeet (IND) demonstrated outstanding skills to reach the final. The 64kg division saw Iraq’s Sajjad Saleem deliver a commanding performance to defeat Kazakhstan’s Meiirzhan Shadi, while India’s Lakshay Phogat overcame Ukraine’s Andrii Lisnyk to book his place.

Further up the divisions, Meyrambek Aliev (UZB) and Nurassyl Khassan (KAZ) secured their spots in the 67kg final with solid wins, while Ezmir Uktamov (UZB) and Temirlan Kazyev (KAZ) advanced from the 70kg category. In the super heavyweight (+70kg) division, Nurislam Tashmaganbet (KAZ) stopped Jordan’s Yousef Abu Hammam, and Elshod Oblakulov (UZB) defeated Ukraine’s Bohdan Zatulyviter to reach the final.

The U15 girls’ semifinals were equally thrilling. India’s Princi Princi edged Kazakhstan’s Aiaru Faizullayeva at 52kg, while Jordan’s Lama Alhusamiah secured a win over Uzbekistan’s Mokhichekhra Hamidova. In the 55kg category, Madina Sapar (KAZ) and Madinabonu Khudoyorova (UZB) earned victories to reach the finals.

At 58kg, Vira Vasylenko (UKR) and Navya Navya (IND) advanced, with Navya stopping her opponent inside the first round. The 61kg semifinals featured stoppages from Ailin Khojamberdiyeva (KAZ) and Sunaina Sunaina (IND), both securing dominant wins.

In the 64kg class, Jude Habi (JOR) and Akerke Dalabay (KAZ) confirmed their spots in the gold medal matches. The 67kg division saw Ziada Suienaly (KAZ) and Trushana Vinayak Mohite (IND) move forward after clean victories. Diana Kemska (UKR) closed the girls’ program with a stoppage win over India’s Manshi Malik in the 70kg semifinal.

With all semifinals now complete, the finalists across the U15 divisions are confirmed, and anticipation is building for an exciting Finals Day on April 29, 2025.
