Asian Boxing to Hold Extraordinary Congress in Bangkok on August 2

Asian Boxing will convene its Extraordinary Congress on Saturday, 2 August 2025, at 09:00 local time at the Grand Fourwings Convention Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Congress, held in accordance with the Asian Boxing Constitution, will focus on the election of key leadership positions within the Confederation. This marks a pivotal moment in the organization’s efforts to reinforce good governance, transparency, and democratic decision-making across the region.
To safeguard the integrity of the electoral process, a Special Election Commission has been appointed. The Commission is composed of Asian Boxing Secretary General Ali Salameh, World Boxing Secretary General Mike McAtee, and Dr. Supitr Samahito, Executive Board Member of the Olympic Council of Asia, who has been designated by the OCA to oversee proceedings. Their presence ensures that the Congress will be conducted with the highest standards of fairness and international oversight.
All affiliated national federations have been invited to attend. Their active participation is vital to the continued development of the sport and the shaping of its future in Asia.
