Asian boxers continue to entertain at the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament 2025, showcasing their skill, composure, and tactical superiority throughout Day 4’s action-packed sessions at Bangkok’s Nimibutr Stadium.
The afternoon session (Session 7) featured standout performances in the men’s bantamweight division. Uzbekistan’s Dusmatov Faryozbek and Kyrgyzstan’s Torobaev Islam delivered decisive wins, while Thailand’s Sarawut Sukthet and Kazakhstan’s Nursultan Altynbek thrilled home and regional fans with clear 5:0 victories.
In the women’s light flyweight (48kg) class, Fozilova Farzona of Uzbekistan dominated her bout, as did Thailand’s Thipsatcha Yodwaree, while Singapore’s Danisha Mathialagan edged a tough split-decision win over Chinese Taipei’s Guo Yi-Xuan. China’s Cao Wanqi and Thailand’s Natnicha Chongprongklang also moved ahead in the women’s bantamweight (54kg) division, along with Apisada Tantawa (THB) and Kazakova Feruza (UZB), both scoring clean 5:0 wins.
The evening session (Session 8) brought more strong performances from Central and Southeast Asia. Uzbekistan’s Melikuziev Shodiyorjon, Kazakhstan’s Nurzat Ongarov, and Jordan’s Huthaifa Eshish stood tall in the flyweight (50kg) bouts, with Thailand’s Thitiwat Phlongaura also clinching a dominant 5:0 victory.
In the welterweight (65kg) division, Mark Ashley Fajardo of the Philippines outboxed his Ukrainian opponent, and Kazakhstan’s Dulat Bekbauov overcame Kyrgyzstan’s Munarbek Seiitbek Uulu. Thailand’s Khunatip Pidnuch and Bunjong Sinsiri completed the regional sweep in their respective matches.
The night concluded with fierce light heavyweight (80kg) contests. Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan of China claimed a stoppage win over Japan’s Tetsuto Nakajima, while Samandar Djalolov (UZB), Dias Molzhigitov (KAZ), and Bekzhigit Uulu Omurbek (KGZ) all secured victories to advance.
