Day two of the Asian Boxing Elite Boxing Championships continued at the ASA Arena in Ulaanbaatar, featuring 12 bouts across the women’s and men’s divisions, with a mix of dominant victories and tightly contested matchups.
In the women’s 57kg category, China’s Ziyi Chen secured a unanimous decision win over Japan’s Riko Yamada. Thailand’s Punrawee Ruenros followed with a strong performance, defeating Vietnam’s Huyen Tran Nguyen by unanimous decision.
The women’s 60kg division saw Chinese Taipei’s Yu-Ting Lin deliver a convincing victory against Thailand’s Thananya Somnuek. Mongolia’s Namuun Monkhor impressed on home soil with a dominant win over Tajikistan’s Bibinashastamo Kholova, while India’s Priya defeated Kazakhstan’s Rimma Volossenko by unanimous decision.
In the men’s 55kg category, Uzbekistan’s Shakhzod Muzafarov controlled his bout to defeat Jordan’s Mahdi Almashaleh. Turkmenistan’s Meylis Shadurdyyev edged Kyrgyzstan’s Nursultan Asanakunov in a competitive split decision.
Mongolia’s Bilguunsaikhan Kharkhuu delivered a standout performance, earning a clear victory over the Philippines’ Aaron Jude Bado. Japan’s Rui Yamaguchi claimed a narrow split decision win against India’s Jadumani Singh Mandengbam in one of the closest bouts of the session after a head clash had the bout end in the second round.
Tajikistan’s Anushervon Fazylov secured a hard-fought victory over Korea’s Sehyeong Jo, while Chinese Taipei’s Chia-Feng Peng produced a dominant performance to defeat Singapore’s Clayden Teo Han Shern by unanimous decision.
In the final bout of the session, China’s Chuang Liu closed the day with a split decision win over Thailand’s Kangpi Bokhunthod.
Day two continued to showcase the depth of talent across Asia, setting the tone for the competition as the championships progress in Ulaanbaatar.
