Continental Champions Crowned as U15 Finals Conclude in Tashkent

The Asian Boxing U15 Boxing Championships concluded on Thursday in Tashkent, as continental champions were crowned across the girls’ and boys’ divisions following a full day of finals action.
The championship bouts delivered an intense and emotional atmosphere inside the venue, with athletes from across Asia competing for gold medals after progressing through a week of high-level competition.
Host nation Uzbekistan produced a standout performance in front of the home crowd, securing multiple continental titles across both the girls’ and boys’ divisions. Odina Yusupova, Sarvinoz Zoirova, Zebiniso Abdullayeva, Bahora Mahmudjonova, Malika Ulugbekova, Zahro Daniyorova, Jasurbek Khayrullaev, Mansur Abdukhamitov, Sardor Omonboev, Javohir Nematjonov, Samandar Juraboev, and Ibrokhim Mirzakarimov were among the Uzbek athletes crowned champions in Tashkent.
India also delivered a strong performance throughout the finals, capturing titles in multiple girls’ and boys’ categories, including the 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 58kg, and 61kg divisions.
Kazakhstan secured important victories across both divisions as well, continuing its strong showing throughout the championships with gold medal performances in categories including 52kg, 67kg, and 70kg.
Several finals ended before the final bell, particularly in the heavier divisions, where athletes produced dominant performances to secure gold through referee stoppages.
The U15 finals showcased the next generation of Olympic-style boxing talent in Asia, with athletes displaying composure, technical quality, and determination throughout the championship stage.
With the conclusion of the U15 finals, attention now turns to the remaining U17 championship bouts as the Asian Boxing U15 and U17 Boxing Championships continue in Tashkent.
