The Asian Boxing U15 and U17 Boxing Championships continued on Sunday in Tashkent with the U15 boys semifinals, as finalists were confirmed across all weight categories ahead of the championship bouts.

The semifinal stage brought a full afternoon of high-level competition, featuring narrow split decisions, dominant unanimous victories, referee stoppages, and emotionally charged performances as athletes fought for places in the finals.

Host nation Uzbekistan once again delivered a strong performance in front of the home crowd, advancing multiple athletes into the gold medal bouts. Mansur Abdukhamitov, Sardor Omonboev, Javohir Nematjonov, Boburmirzo Murodov, Azizbek Egamberganov, Samandar Juraboev, Ulmasbek Satimov, and Ibrokhim Mirzakarimov were among the Uzbek athletes progressing to the finals following standout performances across the session.

Kazakhstan also produced one of its strongest days of the championships, securing important semifinal victories in multiple divisions including 30-33kg, 35kg, 55kg, 61kg, 67kg, and the heavyweight categories.

India continued its strong presence throughout the U15 competition as well, advancing finalists across several divisions and delivering multiple stoppage victories, particularly in the middle and heavier weight categories.

Several bouts were decided by the narrowest of margins, reflecting the rising intensity of the championships as the medal rounds reached their decisive phase. At the same time, a number of contests ended before the final bell, underlining the aggressive pace and confidence displayed by advancing athletes.

With the semifinal stage complete, the U15 boys finals are now set, as the next generation of Olympic-style boxers prepare to compete for continental gold in Tashkent.
